The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist designs L&D initiatives to help employees acquire the competencies necessary to add significant value to SRNA. This involves needs analysis, instructional design, learning delivery, evaluation, project management, and research. The L & D Specialist is responsible for the administrative tasks required for maintaining learning and development programs. This includes planning, coordinating, and directing learning and development programs. The L&D Specialist is also responsible for maintaining training records for all employees, and compiling reports and statistics for the Human Resources. Identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees. Proactively seek ways to enhance existing training programs. Develop and deliver content that focuses on measurable results through changed behaviors and improved performance.
Three (3) years of experience in L&D and/or instructional design. Experience working in an administrative capacity. Experience in maintaining budgets, finances and invoices. Knowledge of modern compensation and benefits practices acquired through at least two-three years of hands-on experience. Knowledge of related federal and state labor/employment and wage/salary laws. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Business Management, Human Resources or related field preferred, or an equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development. A combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as PHR or SPHR certified. Training and development certification required. Additional completion of profession-specific training (workshops/seminars) with emphasis in employee relations, compensation theories and practices, or related HR fields. Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), as well as any HRIS system. Measurable analysis methodologies and modeling techniques. Effective interpersonal, organization, and presentation skills. Superior communication skills with the ability to deliver messages with respect, tact and diplomacy. Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated; have strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with excellent knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Association with HR organizations such as SHRM or PHIRA preferred. Must be able to stand, sit, move, and use fingers for extended periods of time. May require walking primarily on a level surface, reaching above shoulder heights and below the waist, as well as lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment is typical of an office environment where the air is controlled and kept at mild temperatures.
